Drover Kit 1
Designed by Natalie Bullock
Featured in the Fall 2023 issue of Pom Pom Quarterly and selected as the 2023 Pom Pom Rhinebeck Sweater, we are thrilled to introduce kits for designer Natalie Bullock’s Drover.
This design was inspired by the American West and the designer’s admiration for the people who live and work in the backcountry in this region. The focus of the design was to create something warm, rustic, and with a bit of flair. Knit from the top down, this sweater allows you to try it on as you go, meaning you can gauge the length of the sleeves and the body easily. Whether you’re wearing it riding, driving, walking, or sitting, Drover might not be your trusty steed, but it can be your trusty companion.
This version of the kit features one of our most unique blends, Ravello, as the base. Italian-milled and made from 75% cotton, 16% extra-fine merino, and 9% recycled cashmere, Ravello creates a warm and breathable fabric perfect for both warm and cool climates alike. Ravello’s richly heathered tones are striking as the background in this sweater. We’ve paired it with Penna, our lace-weight, Italian-spun blend of baby Suri alpaca, extra-fine merino, and nylon. Its fluffy, ethereal halo is the perfect complement to Ravello, and together these yarns create a spectacular version of Drover.

PATTERN NOTES
Drover is knit seamlessly from the top down in the round. The back neck is shaped with wrap & turn short rows. Once the yoke is complete, sleeves are separated and sleeve sts placed on hold to be picked up and worked after finishing the body. Top-down sweaters offer the flexibility to try on as you go so that you can decide the perfect yoke length for your body. You may choose to catch some of the longer floats in the colorwork section.
